Privacy Policy

The short version

Yokaigiri needs no account and keeps no personal profile about you. We never ask for your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, photos, or files, and the app touches none of them. Your progress and settings live on your device only: the game has no server of ours, and nothing about your play is sent to us. The free game is supported by optional rewarded video ads from Google AdMob, which uses your device’s advertising ID to show and measure ads; where the law requires it you are asked to choose first, and a one-time Skip the videos purchase removes them from the game.

This policy explains what information the Yokaigiri mobile app (“Yokaigiri”, “we”, “us”) processes, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the app on Android and iOS.

1. Information we process

Advertising ID (for ads). When ads are enabled, the Google AdMob SDK reads your device’s advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID or Apple IDFA) to select, show, cap, and measure rewarded video ads and to limit ad fraud. This identifier is processed and shared by Google AdMob. On iOS the IDFA is used only if you allow it in the App Tracking Transparency prompt; you can reset or limit this identifier in your device settings at any time. After the one-time Skip the videos purchase no videos are shown and the game no longer asks for them; the AdMob SDK still starts with the app, so limiting the identifier in your device settings is the way to stop it entirely.

Purchases. When you buy something, the store (Google Play Billing or the Apple App Store) processes the payment and confirms the purchase to the app through its own software; we never see your card or billing details, and no purchase data is sent to us. The app keeps a record of what you own on your device, and the store’s own Restore purchases re-reads it from your Google Play or Apple account after a reinstall.

Progress and the account number. Your game progress (stage, currencies, collection, purchases, and how many videos you have watched today) is saved on your device and nowhere else. The app also derives a random, anonymous account number on your device, shown on the Settings screen. It is not your name, email, or any device serial, it is not linked to your real identity, and in the current version it is not sent anywhere; it exists so that a later version with an online leaderboard could tell your entry from others without an account.

What we do not collect. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise or coarse location, contacts, calendar, photos, camera, microphone, or files. The game has no sign-in, no social login, and no user-to-user messaging.

2. How the information is used

• To run the game — saving your progress on your device, granting purchases, and delivering the rewards you earn.
• To show optional ads — selecting, capping, and measuring rewarded videos through Google AdMob.
• To keep the rewards fair — the daily rewarded-video limit and the timed rewards are enforced by the app on your device.

We do not sell your information, we do not build advertising profiles ourselves, and we do not use your information for any purpose beyond those above.

3. Sharing

We share information only with the service providers needed to run the things described above:

• Google AdMob (advertising) — advertising ID and ad-interaction signals. See the Google Privacy Policy.
• Google Play and the Apple App Store (payments and restoring purchases).

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the game and its players.

4. Retention and security

We hold no copy of your progress or purchases: both live on your device and go with the app when you uninstall it. Ad and store data are retained by Google and Apple under their own policies, and the app’s traffic to those services is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

5. Your choices and deletion

• Ads: reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings, decline the iOS tracking prompt, or buy Skip the videos to remove ads entirely.
• Deletion: uninstalling the app removes your progress and settings from your device, and there is no copy with us to delete. If you believe we hold anything about you, email [email protected] and we will look and answer.

6. Children

Yokaigiri is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the game requires no account and no personal information, it collects none regardless of age beyond the advertising and purchase data described above.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
