True Mirror(이하 "앱")는 전면 카메라 화면을 실제 모습이나 거울 모습으로 보여 주고 얼굴의 좌우 대칭을 재는 Android와 iOS 앱입니다. 이 방침은 앱이 어떤 정보를 다루는지, 왜 다루는지, 그리고 사용자가 무엇을 고를 수 있는지 설명합니다.

카메라

앱은 전면 카메라의 실시간 화면을 실제 모습(좌우 반전 없음)이나 거울 모습으로 보여 줍니다. 카메라 화면은 기기의 메모리 안에서만 처리되고 어디에도 올라가지 않습니다.

얼굴 데이터

이 절은 True Mirror가 어떤 얼굴 데이터를 모으는지, 어디에 쓰는지, 어디에 저장하는지, 공유하거나 제공하는지, 얼마나 보관하는지, 어떻게 지울 수 있는지 설명합니다.

앱이 모으는 것. 앱은 Google ML Kit 얼굴 감지(Face Detection)로 카메라 이미지에서 얼굴을 찾습니다. ML Kit는 앱에 들어 있는 모델로 기기 안에서만 동작합니다. 앱은 카메라 이미지에서 얼굴의 위치, 얼굴의 윤곽점과 특징점(눈, 눈썹, 코, 입술, 볼, 턱선), 머리의 각도, 눈을 뜨고 있을 확률을 얻습니다. 앱은 이 점들로 대칭 측정값을 계산합니다. 전체 대칭률(퍼센트)과, 두 눈의 높이 차이 같은 부위별 측정값입니다.

앱이 하지 않는 것. 앱은 얼굴을 인식하거나 누구인지 알아내지 않습니다. 생체 인식 템플릿이나 사람을 식별할 수 있는 데이터를 만들지 않고, 다른 사람의 얼굴과 비교하지 않습니다.

얼굴 데이터를 쓰는 곳. 얼굴 데이터는 기기 안에서 앱의 기능을 제공하는 데에만 씁니다. 실시간 카메라 화면에 대칭 표시를 그리고, 대칭 측정값을 계산하고, 스캔 결과의 얼굴 합성 이미지를 만들고, 스캔 결과와 그 기록을 "기록" 화면에 보여 주는 데 씁니다. 실시간 대칭 모드에서 카메라 이미지로 얻은 점들은 표시를 그리는 데 쓰인 뒤 바로 버려지며 저장되지 않습니다.

스캔과 기록. 스캔 버튼을 누르면 앱은 사진 한 장을 찍어 기기 안에서 분석합니다. 그 뒤 기기 안의 앱 전용 저장 공간에 저장하는 것은 정렬한 얼굴 사진 한 장, 작은 미리보기 이미지, 그리고 측정값(대칭 수치, 부위별 측정값, 정렬한 사진 속 얼굴 윤곽점, 날짜, 사용자가 대칭 축을 조정했다면 그 값)입니다. 이렇게 저장된 스캔이 "기록"(스캔 기록)이 됩니다.

저장 위치. 앱은 얼굴 데이터를 기기 안에만 저장합니다. 실시간 카메라 화면은 메모리 안에서만 처리되고, 실시간 대칭 모드에서 얻은 점들은 저장되지 않습니다. 스캔은 기기 안의 앱 전용 저장 공간에만 저장됩니다. 앱은 기록을 어떤 서버에도 백업하지 않으며 어디로도 보내지 않습니다. 개발자는 얼굴 데이터를 받는 서버를 운영하지 않습니다. 다만 사용자가 기기 백업(iCloud 백업이나 Google 기기 백업)을 켜 두었다면, 운영체제가 앱의 데이터를 기록과 함께 사용자의 기기 백업에 넣을 수 있습니다. 이 백업은 사용자 계정 아래에서 Apple 또는 Google이 관리하며, 개발자는 그 백업에 접근하지 못합니다.

공유와 제공. 앱은 얼굴 데이터를 제3자와 공유하거나 제3자에게 제공하지 않습니다. 얼굴 데이터는 광고에 쓰지 않고, 판매하지 않고, 모델 학습에 쓰지 않습니다. Google ML Kit의 얼굴 감지는 기기 안에서 이루어지며, 이 처리 과정에서 이미지나 얼굴 데이터는 Google을 포함한 누구에게도 전송되지 않습니다. Google은 ML Kit의 성능 진단과 사용 통계를 위해 기기 정보, 앱 정보, 성능 지표, 오류 코드를 수집할 수 있지만, 여기에 사진이나 얼굴 데이터는 포함되지 않습니다. Android 무료판에서 광고를 보여 주는 Google AdMob도 카메라 이미지나 얼굴 데이터를 받지 않습니다. 얼굴이 담긴 이미지가 앱 밖으로 나가는 것은 사용자가 직접 공유할 때뿐입니다. "공유"를 누르면 앱은 공유 카드(얼굴 합성 이미지와 점수를 담은 이미지)를 만들어 기기의 공유 화면에 넘기고, 보낼 곳은 사용자가 고릅니다. 앱이 스스로 다른 곳에 보내지는 않습니다.

보관과 삭제. 실시간 카메라 화면의 얼굴 데이터는 보관하지 않습니다. 기록에 저장된 스캔은 사용자가 지울 때까지 기기에 남습니다. 스캔 하나를 지우려면 "기록"에서 그 스캔을 길게 누른 뒤 삭제를 확인합니다. 모든 스캔을 지우려면 설정 > 개인정보에서 "스캔 기록 모두 삭제"를 누릅니다. 스캔을 지우면 그 스캔의 사진, 미리보기 이미지, 측정값이 함께 지워집니다. 앱을 삭제하면 기록을 포함한 앱의 모든 데이터가 지워집니다. 개발자는 얼굴 데이터를 받지 않으므로 보관하거나 지울 사본을 가지고 있지 않습니다.

동의 철회. 얼굴 데이터 처리에 대한 동의는 언제든 거둘 수 있습니다. 얼굴 감지는 대칭 모드와 스캔에서만 동작하고, 거울 모드와 비교 모드는 얼굴을 감지하지 않습니다. 처리를 모두 멈추려면 기기 설정에서 True Mirror의 카메라 접근을 끄면 됩니다. 그러면 앱은 카메라 화면을 받지 못하므로 얼굴 데이터를 처리하지 않습니다. 이미 저장된 얼굴 데이터는 위의 방법으로 스캔을 지우면 사라집니다.

사진, 동영상, 마이크

사진과 동영상은 사용자가 저장이나 촬영 버튼을 누를 때만 기기의 사진 보관함에 저장됩니다. 동영상을 찍을 때 마이크 소리는 셔터를 누르고 있는 동안에만 녹음됩니다. 앱은 사진 보관함에 이미 있는 사진과 동영상을 읽지 않습니다.

광고 (Android만 해당)

Android 무료판은 Google AdMob 광고(배너 광고, 앱 열기 광고, 보상형 광고)를 보여 줍니다. AdMob은 광고를 보여 주고 측정하기 위해 기기의 광고 ID와 기기 정보, 이용 정보를 모을 수 있습니다. AdMob은 카메라 이미지나 얼굴 데이터를 받지 않습니다. iOS 판에는 광고가 없습니다. 추적하지 않으며 광고 식별자를 쓰지 않습니다.

구매 (Android만 해당)

Android에서는 Google Play 결제로 "광고 제거"를 한 번 구매할 수 있습니다. 결제는 Google Play가 처리하며 개발자는 결제 정보를 받지 않습니다. iOS 판에는 앱 내 구매가 없습니다.

이용 통계와 오류 보고

앱에는 이용 통계(분석) SDK와 오류 보고 SDK가 없습니다.

아동

앱은 만 13세 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않습니다. 아동의 개인정보를 알면서 모으지 않습니다. 아동의 앱 이용에 관해 걱정되는 점이 있으면 아래 주소로 연락해 주십시오.

True Mirror ("the app", "we") is an app for Android and iOS that shows your front camera view, true or mirrored, and measures the symmetry of your face. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have.

The short version

• The app has no account, no sign-in and no server of our own. The app never uploads photos, video or face data anywhere.
• Camera frames are processed only in memory on your device. Face detection runs entirely on your device with Google ML Kit, and no image or face data is sent to Google or anyone else by this processing.
• Scans are saved only in the app's private storage on your device, and they stay there until you delete them.
• Face data is never shared with third parties, never used for advertising, never sold and never used to train models.
• The free Android version shows Google AdMob ads, and AdMob receives no camera images or face data. The iOS version shows no ads and has no tracking.

Camera

The app shows a live view from your front camera, either true (not mirrored) or mirrored. Camera frames are processed only in memory on your device and are never uploaded.

Face data

This section explains what face data True Mirror collects, how it is used, where it is stored, whether it is shared or disclosed, how long it is kept and how you can delete it.

What the app collects. The app finds your face in the camera image with Google ML Kit Face Detection. ML Kit runs entirely on your device, using a model that is bundled with the app. From the camera image, the app derives the position of your face, the contour and landmark points of your face (eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, cheeks and jawline), the angle of your head, and the probability that each eye is open. From these points the app calculates symmetry measurements: an overall symmetry percentage and measurements for each feature, such as the difference in height between your eyes.

What the app does not do. The app does not recognise or identify faces. It does not create a biometric template or any data that identifies a person, and it does not compare faces across people.

How face data is used. Face data is used only to provide the app's features to you on your device: to draw the symmetry overlay on the live camera view, to calculate your symmetry measurements, to create the face composites in your scan results, and to show your scans and their history in the Journal. In live symmetry mode, the points derived from the camera image are used to draw the overlay and are discarded right away. They are not saved.

Scans and the Journal. When you tap the scan button, the app takes one photo and analyses it on your device. It then saves the following in its own private storage on your device: an aligned copy of your face photo, a small thumbnail, and the measurements (the symmetry values, the measurements for each feature, the outline points of your face in the aligned photo, the date, and any adjustment you made to the symmetry axis). These saved scans make up the Journal, your scan history.

Where face data is stored. The app stores face data only on your device. Live camera frames are processed only in memory, and the points derived from them in live symmetry mode are not saved. Scans are saved only in the app's private storage on your device. The app does not back up your Journal to any server and never sends it anywhere. We do not operate any server that receives face data. If you have turned on device backup (iCloud Backup or Google device backup), your operating system may include the app's data, including your Journal, in your own device backup. That backup is managed by Apple or Google under your account, and we have no access to it.

Sharing and disclosure. The app never shares face data with third parties or discloses it to them. Face data is never used for advertising, never sold and never used to train models. Face detection by Google ML Kit takes place on your device, and no image or face data is sent to Google or anyone else by this processing. For ML Kit performance diagnostics and usage statistics, Google may collect device information, app information, performance metrics and error codes; photos and face data are not included. Google AdMob, which shows ads in the free Android version, receives no camera images or face data. An image of your face leaves the app only if you choose to share it: when you tap Share, the app creates an image (a share card with your face composites and your score) and hands it to your device's share sheet, and you choose where it goes. The app does not send it anywhere by itself.

Retention and deletion. Face data from the live camera view is not kept. Scans in your Journal are kept on your device until you delete them. To delete one scan, long-press it in the Journal and confirm. To delete every scan, go to Settings > Privacy and tap "Delete all scans". Deleting a scan removes its photo, its thumbnail and its measurements. Uninstalling the app removes all of its data, including the Journal. Because we never receive your face data, we hold no copy of it to keep or to delete.

Withdrawing consent. You can withdraw your consent to face data processing at any time. Face detection runs only in Symmetry mode and when you scan; the Mirror and Split modes do not detect faces. To stop all processing, turn off camera access for True Mirror in your device settings. The app then receives no camera images and processes no face data. To remove face data that is already saved, delete your scans as described above.

Photos, videos and microphone

Photos and videos are saved to your device's photo library only when you tap save or capture. When you record a video, the app records sound from the microphone only while you hold the shutter. The app does not read the photos and videos already in your photo library.

Advertising (Android only)

The free Android version shows ads from Google AdMob: banner ads, app open ads and rewarded ads. To show and measure ads, AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID and information about your device and how you use the app. AdMob receives no camera images and no face data. The iOS version shows no ads. It does not track you and does not use the advertising identifier.

Purchases (Android only)

On Android you can buy "Remove ads" once through Google Play billing. Google Play processes the payment, and we receive no payment details. The iOS version has no in-app purchases.

Analytics and crash reporting

The app contains no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you have concerns about a child's use of the app, contact us at the address below.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and publish the new version at the same address.
